About this offer
n8n is a workflow automation platform that mixes visual building with custom code. The self-hosted Community Edition is free and runs on your own infrastructure. You can use it indefinitely without registering, or register for free to unlock extra features such as debugging in the editor and custom execution data.
The code is fair-code and source-available rather than open source: the Sustainable Use License only allows use or modification for your own internal business purposes, or for non-commercial or personal use. n8n says it does not call itself open source because OSI-approved licences cannot restrict use. Files marked ".ee." fall under a separate n8n Enterprise License, and a commercial licence is needed to host n8n as a service, white-label it, or let outside parties build or edit workflows.
n8n Cloud is a paid subscription with its own terms; the Sustainable Use License does not apply to it.
