About this offer
Microsoft's nonprofit program grants eligible organizations up to 300 Microsoft 365 Business Basic licenses at no cost. Business Basic includes the web and mobile versions of the Office apps, not the desktop apps. Microsoft has discontinued the free Business Premium grant; nonprofits can instead buy Business Premium and other Microsoft 365 plans at nonprofit discounts.
Granted licenses are for paid nonprofit staff and unpaid executive staff who act as the organization's leadership, not program participants, members or donors. Microsoft's FAQ says nonprofits must keep at least 85% active usage of their granted licenses or risk disqualification from future grants. Organizations register through Microsoft's nonprofit program and claim the grant from the Nonprofit Hub once approved.
