OpenAI's startup program works through venture capital firms in its partner network, which OpenAI says includes Thrive Capital, Sequoia, a16z, Kleiner Perkins and Conviction Partners.
Startups backed by one of these firms may be eligible for free API credits, rate limit upgrades and time with OpenAI's solutions engineers or other technical staff. OpenAI does not publish a credit amount on the page.
The application asks for a unique referral code from your VC. Founders should ask their investor whether it is in OpenAI's network and how to access OpenAI resources.
