About this offer
OpenAI's Codex for Open Source program supports open-source maintainers with six months of ChatGPT Pro with Codex. Core maintainers with write access can also get conditional access to Codex Security, and API credits for coding, maintainer automation and release work are available from a $1 million fund.
The program is for primary or core maintainers of active projects with meaningful usage or ecosystem importance; you can also nominate another maintainer. If your project doesn't fit the criteria but plays an important role in the ecosystem, OpenAI asks you to apply anyway and explain why.
OpenAI decides which benefits an approved applicant gets at its sole discretion, and availability, duration and scope may vary. Codex Security and API credits may require separate review. You need a valid ChatGPT account, and OpenAI may ask for proof of identity or maintainer status.
